These girls and boys are then given everything they need to be successful; from an international-standard education to safe accommodation and three nutritious meals a day. The school is funded primarily by sponsorhips and donations from individuals, families, foundations, service clubs and schools from around the world. St Jude's oldest students are expected to graduate from secondary school in 2015, the school's first graduating class. The school was founded in 2002 by young Australian idealist Gemma Sisia, who dreamed of helping end poverty in Africa.
